Parenthood, unplugged

Here’s another try at composing an uplifting song about parenthood. This was clearly written and recorded very quickly, but I’d like to think that the immediacy gives it a certain naïve charm. When you are hooked up with a band, it can be difficult to introduce something with this kind of lyrical optimism and perhaps this is one of the reasons that this song never got beyond the basic developmental stage. Or maybe that’s just me.
Whatever … I’m sure I’ll return to this song at some point, as there is probably a decent tune waiting for the right conditions in which to flourish.
