I wrote this song out of boredom while I kind of related to bits of it when I thought of this girl I was real good friends with in 8th grade and later on I had a crush on her which made it uncomfortable for me to talk to her. and we talked less and less during 9th grade and it just felt like we were no longer friends because we hardly talked to each other anymore. Even when she got a boyfriend and I gave up on her, I still try to contact her but she never contacts me back. and I guess that's where I relate to the song, mainly in the hook.
