I needed to write a final song for my concept album "All Aboard the Heaven Express" that was a concentrated on Heaven.

This meditative, yet dynamic, song is very different in style from the upbeat, quirky songs that precede it on the CD, yet it has become exceedingly popular with those who have heard the whole CD.

When our long journey ends,
We shall see what God has prepared for us,
Where His light always shines
On the streets of gold.
As we gaze round wea€™ll say:
This is beautiful; yes ita€™s wonderful
Then wea€™ll join Angel choirs
Singing a€˜round His throne.

So we look to that day
When we all stand in Heaven
Praising our Saviour as one
With our song.

As we gaze at the Son.

Filled with love and grace,
As He sees our reward
From His sufferings.
