Lyrics
Let me say a few words about my buddy Bob,
He’s a lot of things but he’s no slob.
He’s got a way with the ladies that’s right on,
You’d think what he’s packing’s the size of a log.
His talk’s as smooth as his words are cheap,
The guy’ll sell you the shoes off your feet.
But what I really like about my long time buddy,
Is how he’s made a living off of other people’s money.
You’d have to call my buddy Bob a visionary,
But what he sees sometimes is pretty scary.
He’s got us holding hands ‘round the campfire singing Kumbaya,
But there’re no marshmallows to roast ‘cause no one’s got a job.
Sometimes it seems he can’t see the forest for the trees,
From what he’s learned from the nuts organizing communities.
But there’s one thing he knows better than you and me,
That’s how to walk off with other people’s money.
Now Bob’s a big shot, he’s got it made,
But he hasn’t forgotten the chumps he’s played.
He keeps their names and numbers on his Blackberry,
For when he’s got a job that’s shovel ready.
Some have caught on but most haven’t guessed,
They’re going to need that shovel to dig out of this mess.
As for Bob, well he’s got the right idea you see,
He’s gonna retire off of other people’s money.
He’s a lot of things but he’s no slob.
He’s got a way with the ladies that’s right on,
You’d think what he’s packing’s the size of a log.
His talk’s as smooth as his words are cheap,
