Oh, we've all been there. done that. Buy a sofa with nothing to pay til next year & then interest-free credit. Oh yeah!
"just one final payment to make", they say - which turns our to be about half the price of the whole suite. Usually about January, when you're broke after xmas.
Don't pay it & suddenly you've got 5 years at 30% a month.
All good, clean fun.

When it's by the day
you work by the hour
to set your spirits free
When there's nothing to pay
for a year, maybe more
and they'll pay the VAT

That's when to worry, they're saving it up
'Cos next year you're broke with the bills to cough up
And the bank, very formal, just doing their thing
Fair old chance you end up with
just a dog on a string

When they say six percent they really just mean
If you make fifty grand & your hands are all clean
If you sweat for a living or something that's dirty
then you can go f**k yourself
They get all shirty
