About the song
A "Glasgow smile" is a scar on the face, result of a (often football and beer-induced) knife fight amongst rival gangs. The "blues" are supporters of RANGERS FC, protestants, always at war with the catholic supporters of CELTIC. As in similar situations around the world, religion has nothing to do with this kind of violence, nor has football. Alcohol, drugs and the curse of a mentality that values violence continue taking a terrible toll on the lower strata of Scottish society.
Lyrics
Where’s ma knife, da
Gaunny set wan record straight
Where’s ma knife, da
Gaunny gie the blues their due

Ye be’er please cool down
Ah’ve had enuff a those bloody fights

But ah’m nae wee boy
Ah know what tae dae mysel
Ah’m no wee boy
Ah can look efter mysel

At’s no excuse ye fool!
Ah don’t want you back wi’ a Glasgow smile

-----------------------------------------------------------

Where’s the knife, da
I just wanna slice ma bread
Where’s the knife, da
I just wanna slice ma bread

Ye’r out a luck my boy
Yer brother’s out at the football game
