About the song
Sydney Monet (In Memory Of…) was written for a friend of mine after she had experienced the loss of her daughter. The song also represents the most aggressive use of strings that I have ever written. I individual recorded 16 violins, violas and then dubbed in a three French horns and a bassoon over the top. This song still needs a bit of mixing and EQ’ing done on it in my opinion, but it is still presentable.
