My extended version of David Benoit's song from his Inner Motion CD. All instruments are performed and recorded on the Technics PR-305 Digital Ensemble. I let my digital piano trigger an external Yamaha MU-50 tone generator for just the rhythm track

I first heard this song on David Benoit's Grp CD, Inner Motion. The beauty of playing it is that it is mostly in the pentatonic scale of F# (or Gb), which is naturally pentatonic if you only play the black notes of the piano keyboard. The "B" section modulates to an E minor progression which pauses at Asus9, and then Dsus9, finally returning back to the "home key" in F#. I played this a bit legato using an Rhodes Electric Piano sound, rather than the original acoustic piano version just to make it a bit more mellow. It's really such a smooth song to listen to!
