About the song
Richard says:
Intially this was going to be an instrumental, but Rob kept hearing "the boys and a good ole time" in the melody (tis funny how these things happen aint it ?) So i was duley summoned out of retirement to write a lyric for this track. I decided to make it about something we could all relate to - hanging out with our buddies and what that means, and also how it fels when those buddies can't always be around, deep huh ? Nilsy, Matt & Rob came to the party nicely musically, so far be it for me to take it elsewhere, Rob sang this one, which seemed justified seeing as it was Rob's idea to wrote this tune in the first place. Nilsy's piano, Matt's bass and our friend Robin's sax really complimented each other nicely on this tune.
