About the song
While this song functions well as a fairly standard, if desperate, love song, it harbors a deeper meaning as well. It was originally written to be the theme for a forthcoming short film entitled 'She Died For Him," which is due to be released in early 2007, and inspired by part of its story.

A young married couple is struggling because the husband is dying and needs a heart transplant immediately to survive. The wife, who is desperately in love with her husband, knows that her heart is a match for her husband's and could replace it. She decides to sacrifice her own life in order to save his.
This song is sung from her point of view and could be viewed as a goodbye letter -- her final words explaining her feelings and actions before she commits suicide. Ultimately, she feels that, because her heart will live on within his body, it is the only way they can stay together.
