About the song
Just the music (minus the flute parts) for ‘In The Middle’ was composed while living in New Orleans in 1992. It was not recorded until 1997, that's when the first flute part was improvised and the second flute part was composed to compliment it on recording day. I'm using a Yamaha DX7II w/ sequencer and 16 tracks, as well as Yamaha RX11 drum-machine.
