I wrote this song back in 2004, in a season of my life when I was grieving a loss and desiring Him to be truly "everything to me". The chorus came as it is, as I was sitting at the piano and crying before the Lord. I wanted to be so captivated, that He would be "all my eyes can see", and that eventually inspired the verses, as i personally began to see Jesus again. His nail-pierced hands, His loving gaze... the sacrifice He made which ultimately demands my all. And I know the song will continue to reflect my journey with Him, even now, with every new step of surrender He requests.
