Synopsis: This song was inspired by the events in the Philippines in the beginning of 2003. When the gasoline prices were going thru the roof and people were protesting in the streets. The militant labor groups were demanding a rollback of gasoline prices and the merchants were clamoring to raise prices of goods due increasing cost. The songwriter is saying we need to stop this and get along. Because it will create chaos and the country will always lose. In the 3rd verse, he says my father said “Before the Spanish came, Filipinos were already here, industrious, intelligent and different. “ In the last paragraph is a warning. “Ninoy (Aquino) said, The Filipino is worth dying for but if there is no change more blood will flow”
