Synopsis: This is a song about the forgotten Philippine-American War of 1898. Which was originally known as the Philippine Insurrection.
1st Par. Filipinos thought that Americans were there friends but when Aguinaldo was duped the hostilities began.
2nd Par. Thirteen years, 100 thousand killed women and children used as shields.
Chorus: So my countrymen, Do you which war I am talking about. If you don’t, open your minds because you need to know the truth. For the truth will set you free
3rd Par. A hundred years since we were duped. If you do not know it was probably hidden from you.
4th Par. A hundred years were still poor. We need to changed our situation.
