MY LAST TEAR
Words & Music © 2001 Erik Jay
One life with two hearts beating in time,
but I find that our time must end — and I’ll miss you, friend.
No tomorrow, for today you’re gone,
but I know our love will grow ever on.
- Chorus:
The wings of an angel will lift my love to thee,
the arms of the Savior reach out to comfort me.
And I know that you have cried your last tear.
In my memories I will hold you near --
you’ll be here with me, a part of my broken heart.
God gave you to me, then He called you home.
But I know our love will grow ever on.
- Chorus / Instrumental section
- Chorus end variation: ... And I will see you when I cry my last tear.
