Welcome to the Isotope Laboratories' automated tour.
Before we begin there are some security precautions.
Here at Isotope Laboratories, we produce chemical and biological agents.
A group 1 biological agent is one that is unlikely to cause human disease.
A group 2 biological agent is one that can cause human disease, and might be a hazard to workers. It is unlikely to spread to the community. There is usually effective prophylaxis or treatment available.
A Group 3 biological agent is one that can cause severe human disease and present a serious hazard to workers. It may present a risk of spreading to the community, but there is usually effective prophylaxis or treatment available.
A Group 4 biological agent is one that causes severe human disease and is a serious hazard to workers; it may present a high risk of spreading to the community; there is usually no effective prophylaxis or treatment available.
Isotope Laboratories primarily produces classes 3 and 4 biological agents. For this reason we ask that you empty your pockets of any cutting or scraping tools, as well as any perscription medication or potentially flamable items; these will be returned to you at the end of the tour.
On your left, you will see the radioactive isotope production facility. Isotope Labs is a type A facility, the highest and most dangerous class of radioisotope production.
