About the song
Tomas writes:
When I heard the song I immediately heard a sort of vintage type recording. So it should have a vintage feel (kind of distorted sound). I spend most of the time celaning the tracks. They had a lot of hiss and other noises that took me a while to figure out without changing the tone too much. So, it should be clean enough now.
Vocals I didn't use any reverb. Lots of compression to level things out and heavy gate to cut the noise in the blank parts without chopping the natural voice decay. What I did was copy the track and then add some soft clip distortion and heavy tape echo, this track is panned to the right. You should be able to hear the echo only. I heard this in a John Lennon tune and thought this was perfect for this song.
The guitar has only some room reverb for stereo effect but not so much for reverb itself. Slightly panned to the left to avoid conflict with the vocals.
