About the song
We're so pleased that W has cast aside the wisdom of the ages. For Neanderthals, might was right, and we've been doin' unto others ever since, not to mention tens and tens of thousands of avenging deaths in Iraq. Makes sense to me.
Lyrics
One night you were dreamin’ when you woke up your self screamin’
Cause the trip you took turned into a fall
Your pillow, it was soakin’, and you wheezed like you’d been smokin’,
But why you got so scared, you can’t recall

Turned on the t-v cause you was feelin’ alone
And watching fiction might uncover the truth, but
Flippin’ through the channels didn’t give you a sign
You just got confused by Conan O’Brian

(Chorus)
They’ve got you now, they’ve got you now
They’ve got you where they want you, anyhow.

The next day you were wired, even though you felt so tired,
You almost called in sick at your job
Instead you went to punch in, and face the daily crunch in
With the regular anonymous mob

Even though you weren’t feeling quite up to par
You worked your little fingers to the bone
Then the boss comes with a pink slip and he takes you aside
Saying, “so sorry, son, but you better go home.”

(Chorus)

It’s time your learned your lesson, cause there’s no more need for guessin’, you’re
Just really wrong if you ain’t far right
One loser went to Harvard and the other went to Yale
Thanks, Court, for showing all of us the Light!

We used to think the Golden Rule was the way to go
“Might makes right” was never our creed, but
Doin unto others before others do you
Is Dick Cheney’s take on how to proceed

(Chorus)
