Sometimes I look around and feel, understand what's going on with the people around me. Then the song happens. This song came one night when I was walking home from a bar in Burbank. My roomates were fighting on and off and I just wanted to get some air. I saw this kid/young guy, maybe 20 or so. He was the most down and out dude I'd seen in a long time. I felt it hard. I just started singing these lyrics.
