About the song
I had been in LA for three days. It was January and it was a beautiful sunny day. I was walking on Hollywood Blvd eating a bad slice of cheese pizza. As I turned up a side street, I saw an incredibly beautiful girl walking on the other side. When I got back to a friend's house where I was visiting, I began to write these words on the napkin from my slice. My friends came in about a half hour later and I let them hear the song. My friend Mark let me hear a guitar line that he was playing with and I worked it in. Now it's truly one of the most beautiful songs I play and sing.
Lyrics
Passing by on a sunny day
Saw you looking toward me that way
Had to stop, catch my breath and check you out
Felt that rush and knew we?d meet without a doubt

Saw your eyes they were smiling blue
Saw your lips they were smiling too
Saw my future and still I saw you too
Walked right over didn't have to think of what to do

Kiss me girl, let me slip into your smile
Hold me girl, let's just stay here for a while

Every time that I come this way
I remember that sunny day
I come home and catch my breath and check you out
I?m so glad girl, that I found you,
I?m so glad that you found me too
I?m so glad, yeah, that I love you
without a doubt
