About the song
I came up with the music for this song while working with my Vocal Ensemble at Trinity Bible College. It quickly took shape and my wife gave me the lyric idea. Vadia and I co-wrote the melody.
Lyrics
A Psalm of David
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
When the wicked, came against me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
Though an army should come against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
In the time of trouble he shall hide me: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me high upon a rock.
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
And now shall my head shall be lifted up above my enemies: therefore will I offer sacrifices to my king; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises unto the LORD.
