I've always recited the Lord's prayer in "King James English." And that's fine. But because of the old-fashioned language we miss some of the impact of Jesus' words. Jesus was teaching us to ask God to establish his kingdom on earth. In other words for him to "reign as king." That needs to happen in a global sense but he also needs to reign personally in each of our hearts. This song hopefully encourages us to think about God's kingdom and pray that it might come.
