Psaume 19_1-7

19:1 Au chef des chantres. Psaume de David.
19:2 Les cieux racontent la gloire de Dieu,
Et l'etendue manifeste l'oeuvre de Ses mains.
19:3 Le jour en instruit un autre jour,
Et la nuit en donne connaissance à une autre nuit.
19:4 Ce n'est pas un langage, ce ne sont pas des paroles
Dont le son ne soit point entendu :
19:5 Leur retentissement parcourt toute la terre,
Leurs accents vont aux extremites du monde,
Où Il a dresse une tente pour le soleil.
19:6 Et le soleil, pareil à un epoux qui sort de sa chambre,
S'elance dans sa course en conquerant joyeux;
19:7 Il parait où commence le ciel, Il s'en va ou le ciel s'acheve :
Rien ne se derobe a sa chaleur.

א לַמְנַצֵּחַ, מִזְמוֹר לְדָוִד. 1
For the Leader. A Psalm of David.
ב הַשָּׁמַיִם, מְסַפְּרִים כְּבוֹד-אֵל; וּמַעֲשֵׂה יָדָיו, מַגִּיד הָרָקִיעַ. 2
The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth His handiwork;
ג יוֹם לְיוֹם, יַבִּיעַ אֹמֶר; וְלַיְלָה לְּלַיְלָה, יְחַוֶּה-דָּעַת. 3
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night revealeth knowledge;
ד אֵין-אֹמֶר, וְאֵין דְּבָרִים: בְּלִי, נִשְׁמָע קוֹלָם. 4
There is no speech, there are no words, neither is their voice heard.
ה בְּכָל-הָאָרֶץ, יָצָא קַוָּם, וּבִקְצֵה תֵבֵל, מִלֵּיהֶם;
לַשֶּׁמֶשׁ, שָׂם-אֹהֶל בָּהֶם. 5
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. {N}
In them hath He set a tent for the sun,
ו וְהוּא--כְּחָתָן, יֹצֵא מֵחֻפָּתוֹ; יָשִׂישׂ כְּגִבּוֹר, לָרוּץ אֹרַח. 6
Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course.
ז מִקְצֵה הַשָּׁמַיִם, מוֹצָאוֹ--וּתְקוּפָתוֹ עַל-קְצוֹתָם; וְאֵין נִסְתָּר, מֵחַמָּתוֹ. 7
His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
