My job was somewhat stressful, but I knew I needed to be happy anyhow. So, a song of admonition came to my mind, but it happened to be in Spanish. Later, with the encouragement of a sister, I wrote similar words for it in English.

Please cultivate, my brother, the art of sweet contentment.
Don't always be complaining or harboring resentment.
Like flowers on the hillside are Heaven's choicest blessings.
So, learn the art of gratitude and banish your complaining.

Our loving Heavenly Father prepares the way before you.
The holy love of Jesus can comfort and restore you.

Please open up your heart to Him and tell Him, "I adore you."

Look higher and still higher, with Heaven your desire.
With Jesus walk on water; with Jesus go through fire.
In holiness be gaining, His promises proclaiming.
