About the song
I never knew my Grandpappy as he past away before I was born. The stories I heard growing up filled the imagination of his fiddle and playing. Thought it a good tribute to all the great fiddle players of yesteryears and today.

Intro: D///Bm///G///A///
I remember as a boy the joy that he would bring
Each time he'd rosin up his bow
I can hear Grandma singing the old melodies
To the rhythm of Grandpas fiddle

I keep it in my mind how he put on a show
Each time he'd open up his case
Folks would come from miles around and join the singing
To the medleys of Grandpas fiddle

Chorus:
Sweet and mellow were the tunes that came from his strings
Jingles dancing in the wind.............. twisting and turning
Breaking ties that can bind simple pleasures come to mind
Each time I hear Grandpas fiddle; I'm fiddlin' down the road

FIDDLE BREAK: D///Bm///G///A///

Their wealth didn't come from material things
For Grandma it didn't matter
To her she was blessed with things you cannot see
Her life was rich as Grandpas fiddle

The love she revealed each time he would play
Each note a child she had raised
Lived the tales and yearnings, their Sunday learnin'
Came the magic of Grandpas fiddle

Chorus:
Sweet and mellow were the tunes that came from his strings
Jingles dancing in the wind................ twisting and turning
Breaking ties that can bind simple pleasures come to mind
Each time I hear Grandpas fiddle; I'm fiddlin' down the road

He poured out his soul each time he pulled the bow
The care he would take as love somehow flowed

Repeat chorus:
