I just turned 41 yesterday. Worked my ass all day and ended up with a song that describes how it's like... to be 41.

Just turned 41. This song describes how it's like.
The musical idea was built as usual - at the local cafe'.
The PS04 drums+bass+3guitars served as a guide.
I decided to record just phrases and make loops out of them to be used in Acid-Pro.
I've recorded 3 types of bass, 5 types of Acoustic, 4 types of electric and used 2 loops of Acid drums and one EP keyboard.
Rendered the playback to stereo, transfered to BR-864, recorded additional 6 tracks of vocals and a guitar solo.
Transfered back to Acid and mixed it all.
Song composed of total 27(!) Acid tracks.

So, Duty just called me,
she was excited an thrilled,
she said "You have a job to do.
you were selected cause you're skilled"
I asked "what skills are needed?"
just to make sure I was the one.
"don't worry" she replied
"just be yourself, be 41".

"To be 41?" I cried
but I just lately arrived
and the last step from the big 40
left me "a man barely alive".
"dont be a woose" she said
"41 and 40 are almost the same
and don't rest, get ready for another step,
42 is gonna be your next aim.

I tell ya, 41 is no fun
frankly, it's a disgusting age
you would expect to feel the 50's
but yet you're not engaged.
Everyone keep telling you
how young you still look
but 3 gray hair and a growing belly
make you feel so bloody crooked.

I feel so unworthy
and I feel so ashamed.
My son is almost 7.
I'm 41 and I don't fit the game.
He wanna play some football.
He wanna watch the NBA
but I never liked any ball game,
I was so nurd almost suspected gay.
Don't recall who was the second president.
It was ages since I held a book to read.
I should have been a wise man,
instead I'm just a grown-up kid.
With dizzy look and a 4 days beard
I play for hours my Rocl'n'Roll.
I seem so focused, like in a mission
but I'm not sure about my goal.

"well, alright then" I said to Duty
"I gotta do what a man's gotta do.
I'll play 41 for awhile
but only if you help me through".
"oh, I realy can't help" said Duty
"I'm on duty, I've alot to be done
but I can leave you a choir of angels
they'll cheer you up while I'm gone".
