About the song
In Matthew 19 you have a young rich man who had the opportunity of a lifetime. He explained to Jesus that he had followed all the commandments since he was a child yet he still felt that he was lacking. Lord, how do I become good? Jesus replies that there is no one good but the Father. Sell all that you have, give it to the poor and come follow me. All the money he had couldn't purchase what he was lacking. Jesus wanted to fill that void for free! Yet, this young man turned and walked away sad. His riches, possessions and wealth were of greater value to him. Jesus is asking the same of you today. There is no other way to follow him. He wants to fill the void within your life that only He himself can fill. Will you give up everything to come follow him? Are you willing to make Jesus Christ the number one priority in your life? You don't have to sell your home, cars and possessions. God is asking for your heart. Will you give him your whole heart today? By the grace of God, don’t turn your back on such a great opportunity. God wants to meet your need today. Nothing compares to what we have in Jesus! I’d rather have Jesus than silver or gold!!
