About the song
I was riding my motorcycle on the most incredibly beautiful late spring day. The honey suckle was just starting to bloom. I took in a deep breath and thought, "there ain't nothin sweeter than a honey suckle-on-a-fence-row high!" Before I could get home, the song was almost completely written in my head. Sometimes, life is great just the way it is.
Lyrics
Good Life
By: Beth Davidson

VERSE:
I got an old guitar I can't really play.
I pull it out when I feel a little down or I’m in a bad way.
Pop an 8-track in of Old Hank Williams songs.
Cause old Hank don’t mind when I try to strum along.

VERSE:
Got a Harley in the drive where I guess my car should be.
Don’t impress a lot of folks in their mini-vans and SUV’s.
Ain’t nothin’ sweeter than a honey-suckle-on-a-fence-row high.
When I need a taste of freedom I just twist the grips and let her fly!

CHORUS:
Yeah, I’m livin’ a good life. I ain’t a made for T.V. wife.
What you get is what you see.

Yeah, I learned it’s okay to say “I quit”, if that corporate suit don’t fit,
And walk away with my dignity.

VERSE:
I can’t tell you name on the label of my favorite blue jeans.
There’s a hole in the pocket and they’re worn a little thin at the seams.
I don’t need a magazine fashion-queen tellin’ me it’s alright.
Cause these ol’ jeans go perfect with a beer on a Saturday night.

CHORUS…
