About the song
I got the idea for this song while i was walking around amsterdam...there were a million small leaves floating in the air (which i refer to as 'like a thousand suns') in the song...it has a lot of references to my stay at amsterdam...'flying pigs' is the name of the hostel that i stayed at...they had a guitar lying around...which i used to write the song
Lyrics
I walk around these summer streets too cold with rain,
I put my self by canals that would take me in...
and there,
out of nowhere,
i see them change,
into shades of you by the park bench,
round the corner, on every street,
shades of you...
float around, like a thousand suns....
no i couldn't ever really jump
no i couldn't ever really jump...

I've been around these cafes that line the streets,
I've lost myself to the embrace of a flying pig,
and there,
out of nowhere,
a song fills the air,
and then you've known that,
nothing stays the same....
and shades of you...
float around, like a thousand suns...
no i couldn't ever really jump,
no i couldn't ever really jump...
