a song about life and how I felt a few years ago

Wrote this song to cope with some issues I was having.

Spent the day being lazy,
Lyin in bed all day can drive a man crazy.
All those dreams of mine ain't nothin like having your lovin arms around me.

Covered in dust my memories wait on a shelf,
Feelin crazy cause I talk to myself.
One of these days you know those same old memories are gonna catch up to me.

Why should I be treated better then another worse then me...
Seems like everywhere you go someone you dont know is walking away with the truth you see...

Tell me where the lonely eagle flies,
and tell me where the Road to Freedom lies...

Gave up on things I should have done long ago,
23 years gone by and nothing to show,
Dont you know they say, small town livin aint all its cracked up to be...

I got a good woman and I wont let go,
She knows I need her but I wont let it show.
Paid my dues and played the blues for every sleazy dive in town...
