when I first started writing this song, the chorus was written towards someone specific who tried to rule my life before. I wanted to let them know who I would ever let rule me. As the song went on, I kept writing different verses. Eventually I thought that I should make the song go to a wide audience and let them know why I only have one man rule me--and that's Jesus Christ.
