About the song
In this song, I used musical terms to communicate the message that Jesus is the Rock on which we stand. Ironically, we managed to arrange the music is a country western way.
Lyrics
Verse 1
We have pop and we have jazz
But Jesus is my Rock
You can waltz or you can rap
But Jesus is my Rock
He rolled my blues away.
Verse 2
We sing in sharps, We sing in flats
But Jesus is my Rock
So through my ups and through my downs
Jesus is my Rock
He rolled my blues away
Chorus:-
Well, I'm not talkin' about rock and roll
I'm talking about the cornerstone
The storms may come and the winds may blow
But they that built on the Rock, They can't be moved
Verse 3
Some love minors, Others love majors
But Jesus is my Rock
They make me sad, They make me laugh
But Jesus is my Rock
He rolled my blues away.
Verse 4
Whether in sickness or in health,
Jesus is my Rock
The sun may shine , or it may rain
But Jesus is my Rock
He rolled my blues away.
Repeat chorus:-
Verse 5.
Years have come and years have gone,
But Jesus is my Rock
My bones' grown weak, My hairs' grown white
But Jesus is my Rock
He rolled my blues away
Verse 6
My ear's gone deaf, My eye's gone dim
But Jesus is my Rock,
But still I have, One voice to sing
That Jesus is my Rock
He rolled my blues away.
We have pop and we have jazz
But Jesus is my Rock
You can waltz or you can rap
But Jesus is my Rock
He rolled my blues away.
Verse 2
