Isaiah's prophecy of the birth of Christ is one of the songs in the Malay version of the Christmas Story, presented by my church in 2004.

Sekian lamanya sebelum Isa dilahirkan, Tuhan Bapa telah lama menyatakan rencana kelahiran in melalui para Nabi… Di manakah ia akan terjadi, bilakah ia akan terjadi serta kejadian-kejadian yang akan terjadi kelak. Inilah yang telah dinubuatkan oleh nabi Yesaya 700 tahun sebelum kelahiran Isa Almasih


(Before the birth of this special child, God, through many of His prophets, told of His plans for the birth of His Son…where the birth would take place, when it would take place, and the circumstances and events surrounding the birth. And this is what was recorded and prophesied by Isaiah, 700 years before the birth of Jesus, actually took place.)

Yang dinamakanNya Imanuel

(He will be called Emmanuel)

Ia akan menjadi pemimpin kita
(And the government will be on His shoulders)

Ia dinamakan “Penasihat Bijaksana”
(He will be called Wonderful Counselor)

“Allah Perkasa”, “Bapa Kekal”, “Raja Damai”,
(Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace)

Ia memerintah sebagai raja keturunan Daud
(And He will reign on David’s throne)

KekuasaanNya sangat besar
(Of the increase of His government)

NegeriNya selalu damai sejahtera
(And of His peace, there will be no end)

PemerintahanNya didasarkan atas
hukum dan keadilan
(And He will reign over His kingdom, establishing,
Upholding it with justice and righteousness)

Sekarang dan selama-lamanya
(Now and forevermore)

Tuhan yang maha kuasa pasti melaksanakannya
(The Almighty God will surely do it)
