Lyrics
An old man is standing alone on the shore watching his son sail away
The old king Arcassius is sad though he knows he will meet his dear son again…

Chorus:
Though prince Ophassius is young he’s brave as any man
He sails the seven seas alone with shield and sword in hand
His crew will fight for him, fight pirates, ghosts and dragonlords
They’ll drown for him…

I’m far away from anywhere – Beginning to regret this journey
Today we past our 7th month – We haven’t seen land in many weeks
I long for Dracopolis – And its crowded boulevards
The fresh morning dew – And the dragons in the mountain hills

Repeat Ch:

“…and so Ophassius and his crew encountered many dangers, and among those, were the foul pirates of the east. They engaged in a violent battle…”

After slaying every pirate we headed east
With the pirates’ treasure we had quite a feast

We sail towards the utter east – To explore the mysteries from afar
With the flagship of Dracopolis we steer towards the undiscovered

A year has passed – We see land at last
Now awaits us fair Schnarrastan

Repeat Ch:

As the Dawntreader reaches the harbours of Schnarrastan
People star in wonder at this pale congregation
