About the song
One night I had really bad insomnia and couldn't stop thinking about life and how short it is. All of the good times, the bad, the people I have met, the people I have lost and the current direction of my life. I thought of the basic theme to this song that night and wrote it down at four o'clock in the morning. It starts off very simple... the first thought... then becomes somewhat complex toward the middle and goes from there.
