Lyrics
VOYAGE
by Chris Lindsay
I long to sail away with
you on a resurrected
seventeenth century ship,
hear the dark thunder
rumbling the sea,
the cracking wind
ripping against the sails,
smell the salt water
sloshing the stern,
rent a private room
under the deck
furnished with
a four poster brass bed
and lit only by oil lanterns,
travel to the edge
of the horizon,
fall off even
the edge of the earth,
and float away to
a distant paradise
if such a place exists.
