This is the first of two songs I wrote last year, after attending an RMMGA music gathering in Texas, and then coming home and taking a six-week songwriting class. I always felt that other people could express things better than I could, so I just never wrote a song before. But... all those wonderful musicians I met in Texas were such an inspiration, and I was taking the class, so... I guess I'm just sort of testing the waters right now, to see if I can really do it. Although I wrote this song a year ago, it took me all this time to get up the nerve to perform it recently for the first time... at an open mic. Nothing awful happened, so then I thought, what the heck, post it. The song is about... well, it speaks for itself.
