Van Gogh's Ear eclectic musical styles include straight-ahead guitar rock, power pop, punk, alternative country, and even a little Hawaiian. The main ingredient that ties together these diverse styles is simply having fun while making music.
Van Gogh's Ear was birthed in 1985 when a bunch of college kids came together in a subterranean band room at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. The college years was our "live" stage, playing frequently on campus and at surrounding schools. Afterwards, band members would re-unite to record new material, continuing to develop and evolve musically. Our debut CD, entitled "Ono", was released in 1999, and contains original songs, both old and new.
Currently, Van Gogh's Ear's music making is limited to studio work and informal get-togethers. Its bandmembers are presently scattered across the country.
