I've been down and out,
and filled my heart with doubt.
I've traveled down that "Winding Road",
and back again.

I've felt so alone,
for every path I chose
just lead the wrong way,
and never toward the Light of a brighter day...

I feel so ashamed..
I had to "try so hard to keep the faith",
but, now I know that every road
just leads me back to You.

Just one step is all it takes...
Believe in the Lord, for He is great.
Just one step is all you need...
(when I needed the Lord, He was there for me).

Just one step is all I know...
when I needed a place, a place to go..
Just one step is all you need,
believe in the Truth, it will set you free!

I feel so inspired
to share this love of mine...
He washed away my sins and made me "born again".
He's that shining star
that burns within my heart
(I thought I'd seen it all until He called, and shared with me His grace).
I feel so amazed at the wonders that our God creates,
and now I feel alive since I put my faith in You.

Just one step is all it takes...
