A song about my dreams and experiences. 'Rapped' lyrics to an electronica tune.

The song "Weapon of Choice" by Fatboy Slim was a big influence to me when I was making this song. I tried to make a dance song with actual lyrics, which I did manage to do, but the sound ended darker than planned. The lyrics are about my current situation in the world of music, and my dreams for the future. I was originally going to put this in the dance genre, but I thought the tune itself is too dark to do so. Oh and by the way, I'm well aware that I'm no good at rapping, but this was fun to make, so that makes up for it (for me anyway).

Well, I just started out you know which is why my profile is pretty low.
I know the process will be slow, but I wanna improve my status quo.
At the moment I’ll be staying underground, but there’s no time for me to fool around.
I’m trying to make songs that make you pound, and jump up and down in leaps and bounds.
Or make you think and nod along cos you agree with the lyrics in a song;
Or something that’ll help you escape from reality when you’ve done something wrong.
I’m trying to compose different kinds so a listener will be able to find
Something they like so they can unwind. But with this song, I’ve made my mind.
