The instrumental version of Dr. Sicks was originally written in 1997 for a friend from San Francisco. Her last name was Sicks and she wanted to be a doctor. The song became an underground favorite and was completed using new gear and technology in 2005. The vocals were the finishing touch and were written during a studio session.
