This song is very special. It was a work in progress with Nashville HIT Songwriter, Danny Mayo. Danny penned such hits as "Keeper of the Stars" "Jesus and Momma" "Feed Jake" and had over 100 songs cut.
My mother, Nancy Cassidy, was working on this song with Danny when Danny suddenly died in October 1999 of a heart attack. Losing Danny was a huge blow to the Nashville songwriting community.
Shortly after Danny's death Nancy brought me in and another Nashville songwriter, Stan LaGrange to help finish the song.
It took me a lot of tries to get it recorded because of all the emotion involved.
Danny was a great friend and a great songwriter. This song is the title cut off my CD and a tribute to Danny Mayo.
