My best friend, my little dog, Charlie, passed away on January 16th 2006 at the age of 12½ years. I intend to record a tribute to him which will be a happy and joyous piece. In the meantime, this is a piece inspired by the times I watched him sleeping in his favourite sunbeam and wondered what he was dreaming about. I'm still grieving for him but it's slowly getting easier and recording this piece has helped as part of that process. I still love him dearly and miss him terribly.

Gently falling, gently rising
a vision of golden serenity
in your favourite sunbeam.
Where do you run to,
my little friend,
when it's time to dream?
