The Notebook Promise
First time I've tried doing solos. It took ages to record [multi-track]. It's also my favourite, me'thinks - even though the vocals are shit. I have lots of ideas for future recordings of this song. Recorded July of '05.

About the song
It's when there's just so much hurt with someone that you don't want a past or a future with him/her.
But yet it's all you wish for.
But yet it's all you wish for.
Lyrics
I don't want no one
to scream or shout
I don't want no one
to be filled with doubt
I don't want no one
no one to lie
I don't want no one
to say goodbye
I don't want letters
that don't say a thing
I don't want roses
that die after one leaves
I don't want hope that
comes after a lie
I don't want dreams that
never come alive
I don't want pictures
that cloud my mind
I don't want a voice
that calms at night
I don't want dances
where we step on our toes
I don't want memories
that touch my soul
I don't want no one
to scream or shout
I don't want no one
to be filled with doubt
I don't want no one
no one to lie
I don't want no one
to say goodbye
to scream or shout
I don't want no one
to be filled with doubt
I don't want no one
no one to lie
I don't want no one
to say goodbye
I don't want letters
that don't say a thing
I don't want roses
that die after one leaves
I don't want hope that
comes after a lie
I don't want dreams that
never come alive
I don't want pictures
that cloud my mind
I don't want a voice
that calms at night
I don't want dances
where we step on our toes
I don't want memories
that touch my soul
I don't want no one
to scream or shout
I don't want no one
to be filled with doubt
I don't want no one
no one to lie
I don't want no one
to say goodbye
