As I look on the things that this world has to offer I feel my heart fill with desire. My flesh tries to tell me that peace and contentment come from the things I acquire. I wanted fame success and great power. To have a good job that paid. But my happiness seemed to last just a few hours and I wanted more the next day. I turned the world upside down. At the end I looked back and found

I was just chasing after the wind, every step that I trod. I'll never find joy if I look there again so I'll fix my eyes on God. And now I'm chasing Him

I searched the world to find peace that would last, but found it was all in vain. Because everything under the sun will pass. One day it will all rust away. My joy is now found in the Lord. The things of this world are not my reward.

Chasing, I'm chasing after the one who chased me from the start. Chasing, I'm chasing. My life has a purpose I'll press toward the mark.
