When I was an upperclassman in college beginning one of my final years, my Sunday School teacher asked if I could write a song for the incoming freshmen. I told him I would give it a shot and out poured this. I played it on guitar or piano, whichever was available, and continued to use it everywhere I sang. A few years ago I pulled it up, dusted it off, and made a new track for it and recorded it. I forgot about it til today.

There's nothing in the world more treasured than the truest friend.
With love that simply cannot be measured that will never end.
Distance won't diminish it, time will never finish that loyalty.
It matters not how one may change. That would never rearrange

Jesus came to be a sample of perfect love.
We're to follow his example. We can't give enough.
Think of what he did for us just to gain our simple trust
To follow Him.
There was not too great a price. When it meant to sacrifice
