About the song
I'm not much on doing Southern topical songs. I don't even know what a boll weevil looks like. But I've been listening to Charlie Patton all day and it just kind of fell out of me on the banjo tonight, so I gave it a shot. For you banjo folks, I've got a capo on the fourth fret and I dropped the 5th string down to F#.
