About the song
Needed to end dry period..........wanted to write
about today........Father MulKahee inspired.

They actually wrote a new war song in an episode
of MASH. I stole Father's MulKahee's line "What the Hell we singing for". Forgive me father.
Lyrics
Another War Song Words / Music John Krill © 2005

I thought we’d need another war song
one to make us proud and we would all sing along
but the words are hard to come by
Man tears clog up my eyes
Just to think we need another war song

What could I really say..that could explain today
10,000 years of growth still building bombs ,digging moats
Will we always need to bleed,
always be for god or greed
and will always need another war song.

Those ain’t your father’s bombs burstin in the air
and our guys ain’t allowed to put old glory just anywhere
Whether its synagogue, a mosque or christian steeple,
Where’s god and glory in a war with exploding people.

Just a catchy little war song
Like over there or montesume
One to make us feel
like heros in those old newsreels
Captain A always slays Dr Doom

So you’ve heard another war song
Should be right but feels so very wrong
But in this song of war
what the hell we singing for
Unless we never need another war song

Those ain’t your father’s bombs burstin in the air
and our guys are targets if they put old glory out anywhere
Whether its synagogue, a mosque or christian steeple,
Where’s god and glory in a war with exploding people.

Just a catchy little war song
come on children sing along
will we always bleed
will we always need …another war song
