About the song
I wanted to write a very positive song that lots of people could relate to, and also could help them through difficult times in their lives. I painted a picture of a couple in their first years of marriage, the husband (Me) a struggling songwriter, and the encouragement that he gets from his wife, as she keeps the light shining through dark and difficult times.
