I have always been intrigued by dragons and dinosaurs and the overwhelming evidence that humans actually exsisted with dinosaurs. Being a young earth Creationist I believe that this is true. The book of Job clearly describes dinosaurs in chapters 40 and 41. I decided to write a song based around the idea of the question of dinosaurs, dragons and other mythical beasts that have been described throughout history and also touch on living dinosaurs that have been found such as the Coelacanth which when originally found was dismissed as a hoax by evolutionists because it simply could not exist in this time. We now have living examples in captivity. The song is called "Remembered as Dragons"

In Job 40:15-24, God describes to Job (who lived after the Flood) a great beast with which Job was familiar. This great animal, called 'behemoth,' is described as 'the chief of the ways of God,' perhaps the biggest land animal God had created. Impressively, he moved his tail like a CEDAR TREE! Although some Bible translations say this may have been an elephant or hippopotamus, the description actually fits that of a dinosaur like Brachiosaurus. Elephants and hippos do not have tails like cedar trees!




Actually, very few animals are singled out in the Bible for such a detailed description.



"Look at the behemoth, which I made along with you and which feeds on grass like an ox. What strength he has in his loins, what power in the muscles of his belly! His tail sways like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are close-knit. His bones are tubes of bronze, his limbs like rods of iron. He ranks first among the works of God."

"Behold now behemoth, which I made with thee; he eateth grass as an ox. Lo now, his strength is in his loins, and his force is in the navel of his belly. He moveth his tail like a cedar: the sinews of his stones are wrapped together. His bones are as strong as pieces of brass; his bones are like bars of iron. He is the chief of the ways of God: he that made him can make his sword to approach unto him."

It needs to be noted that Job is a very old book, probably written around 2000 BC. or older. And it is also noteworthy that God compared its tail to a cedar- one of the largest and most spectacular trees in the ancient world. When God talks about its bones, it is worth stating that the long Diplodocus had leg bones so strong that one could have held three others on its back without falling or injury.

There have been numerous accounts all around the world for centuries of warriors slaying "dragons" and almost all of the written accounts and descriptions match those of known dinosaurs. Herodotus said that small flying lizard like creatures of varied colors with bat-like wings lived in large numbers in Egypt and Arabia during his life, this was a meer 460 years before Christ. Aristotle said that in his time it was common knowledge that such creatures also lived in Ethiopia. The city of Nerluc, France was named in the honor of the killing of a "dragon" there who was bigger than an ox and had long, sharp horns on its head. An old, well-known science book, the Historia Animalium claims that "dragons" weren't extinct until the 1500's, by which time they were extremely rare and fairly small.

The list goes on and on, in every culture there are accounts of dragons whose descriptions match those of known dinosaurs. Some people claim that dinosaurs and people never lived at the same time, but there is no proof. Carbon dating has been proven to be inaccurate beyond a certain number of years, and contrary to popular belief, it doesn't take millions of years to fossilize a bone or plant. All it takes is a quick burial, the correct amounts of water, and suitable minerals. Conditions during the flood of Noah were ideal for the fossilization of animals and plants. Researchers have proven that chicken bones and wood can be completely fossilized in just 5-10 years, so it may take as little as a few hundred years to completely fossilize a large dinosaur bone, that is in ideal conditions, but most dinosaur bones aren't even completely fossilized. Most fossils are mostly bone and still have proteins and strains of amino acids present in them. Some fish fossils even have a fishy smell when first uncovered.

Sea dinosaurs were likely uneffected by the great flood. A Hebrew legend states that the only animals to survive the flood besides those on the Ark were "the giant og, the monster reem and the fishes." The word "og" means gigantic and long necked-a good description of the large ocean-dwelling Plesiosaurs.

Interestingly, the word 'dragon' is used a number of times in the Old Testament. In most instances, the word dinosaur could substitute for dragon and it would fit very nicely. Many scientists believe that dinosaurs were called dragons before the word dinosaur was invented in the 1800s. We would not expect to find the word dinosaur in Bibles like the Authorized Version (1611), as it was translated well before the word dinosaur was ever used.

Also, there are many very old history books in various libraries around the world that have detailed records of dragons and their encounters with people. Surprisingly (or not so surprisingly for creationists), many of these descriptions of dragons fit with how modern scientists would describe dinosaurs, even Tyrannosaurus. Unfortunately, this evidence is not considered valid by evolutionists. Why? Only because their belief is that man and dinosaurs did not live at the same time!

However, the more we research the historical literature, the more we realize there is overwhelming evidence that dragons were real beasts, much like our modern reconstructions of dinosaurs, and that their existence has been recorded by many different people, even just hundreds of years ago.

in Job 41, it also talks about a creature of the sea called a "leviathan" which has no equal and can't be caught with spear or hook. Look it up yourself for the entire short chapter is a detailed description of a beast that could have been a Kronosaurus, or similar creature, which wasn't a true dinosaur, but was a huge, ancient, reptilian sea animal.

in Psalms 104- "There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom thou hast made to play therein."
simply saying that the leviathan plays where the ships go to and fro, probably referring to the Meditterean Sea.

Thats the main jist of it, basically the Bible mentions in numerous places animals which fit the descriptions of what I believe to be dinosaurs and that everywhere there are accounts of people living at the same time as dinosaurs.

NEVER ATTEMPT TO EVER TOUCH HIM AGAIN OR YOULL REGRET IT

HIS TEETH ARE TERRIBLE HIS JAWS ARE VERY POWERFUL

YOU CANNOT PENETRATE THE SKIN OF THIS ANIMAL

YOULL NEVER KILL HIM WITH YOUR SLINGS AND STONES

INNEFFECTIVE AS STRAW ARE YOUR SPEARS AND ARROWS

YOU CANNOT RING HIS NOSE FIRE AND STEAM FROM NOSTRILS

IF YOU JOSTLE THIS COLLOSEL THEN HE MIGHT GET HOSTILE
